It is an extraordinarily accurate microphone, typically within ±0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. More importantly, the QTC40's impulse response is the cleanest we have measured. Impulse information embedded within the tones of music is the detail needed to capture the experience of being there. Clean impulse performance allows the QTC40 to transduce wave forms exactly. The QTC40 will provide a true and accurate representation of sonic events as they happened in the air, the experience of being there.The QTC40 is wonderful for ambient miking and for quiet sources and is also great for close miking.
