Bayview Pro Audio - System One: SAT 6.5 MK II

The SAT 6.5 MK II is the first significant upgrade to Blue Sky’s original SAT 6.5. The MK II version includes several upgrades, which both increase performance and reliability.

The Blue Sky 6.5 features a cast aluminum frame, 6.5" hemispherical driver and a 1" dual concentric diaphragm tweeter with integral wave guide for superior off-axis response. Powered by two custom-designed 100-watt amplifiers with a highly optimized electronic crossover, the SAT 6.5 Satellites deliver clean, accurate sound with a reproduction frequency response of 80 Hz to 20 kHz +/– 3.0 dB (200Hz – 10kHz +/– 1.5dB).On the rear panel there is a Power Switch, Voltage Selector Switch, Fuse Holder, Gain Control, 12dB Input Attenuator Switch, LED power indicator, 80Hz High Pass Filter Switch and a balanced XLR Input.

The Blue Sky SAT 6.5 Satellite speakers are housed in MDF enclosures and measure a compact 12" H x 8" W x 10" D. Weighing 28 lbs. (each), the SAT 6.5 powered speakers feature full video shielding, perfect for use near video monitors. The SAT 6.5 Satellite speakers also come standard with four 1/4" x 20 inserts, located on the bottom of the cabinet, for attachment of OmniMount type 60 (formerly known as the 100 Series) brackets(www.omnimountpro.com) or Powerdrive WHO 100 type brackets (www.mypowerdrive.com).

* New Vifa XT-25 tweeter, with a ferrite motor structure: This tweeter is the same tweeter that is used in Blue Sky's Big Blue SAT 12 and is slightly more efficient than the previous neodymium version, while also providing better thermal characteristics.
* Gain range attenuator (+12dBu or +24dBu operation): Allows the user to easily optimize the signal to noise ratio
* Redesigned input stage: Improved signal to noise performance, with lower noise floor.
* Improved reliability: Newly designed, individually optimized, driver protection. Protects against both short and long term damage, without negatively impacting sound quality.
* New sealed chamber for tweeter: Eliminates the possibility of any air leaks.
* Dual Voltage Operation: Easily configurable via a dual voltage selector switch (115V or 230V)
* Recessed gain control / trim pot: Less likely to be bumped or adjusted accidentall
