The UAD-1 Studio Pak is the most powerful combination of DSP hardware and high-quality software plugins available for host-based Windows and Macintosh DAWs. At heart of the UAD-1 Studio Pak is the revolutionary UAD-1 DSP card. Because of its high resolution, floating point processing, ultra high-speed memory and hardware dithering, the UAD-1 delivers outstanding high-headroom sound quality at sample rates from 44.1 to 192khz. Unlike other DSP cards, the UAD-1 uses a single, unpartitioned processor allowing for larger and more sophisticated plug-in algorithms offering a new level of power and complexity not found with host-based plug-ins. By greatly reducing the burden on your computer’s CPU, your host application can now deliver more tracks, automation and native effects.

The UAD-1 Studio Pak is a sonic powerhouse including a complete suite of 20 UA plug-ins including the famous UA vintage emulations which utilize UA’s cutting-edge “Virtual Circuit” modeling techniques that capture every nuance of these classic hardware tools; the 1176LN, LA-2A, Pultec EQP-1A, and Fairchild 670. The UAD-1 also includes “UA Original” innovative plug-ins to enhance your productions including the Cambridge EQ, Nigel Guitar Processor, Channel Strip and the award-winning professional reverbs, RealVerb and DreamVerb.

- Windows computer with available PCI slot for each UAD-1 card
- Microsoft Windows 98SE/ME, 2000/XP, or Server 2003
- 128 MB of RAM (256 MB is strongly recommended)
- 70 MB of available disk space
- CD drive or internet connection for software installation
- VST compatible host application software, such as Steinberg Cubase, Nuendo, or Emagic Logic Audio
- DirectX is supported under Cakewalk Sonar and Project5, and Sonic Foundry Sound Forge, Acid, and Vegas
- 1024 x 768 or higher resolution monitor
- An AGP graphics video adapter (PCI graphics is not recommended)

Macintosh
- Mac OS PowerPC computer with available PCI slot for each UAD-1 card (G3 or better recommended; processor upgrade cards are not officially supported)
- Mac OS 9.x, 10.2.x, or 10.3.x
- 128 MB of RAM (256 MB is strongly recommended)
- 70 MB of available disk space
- CD drive or internet connection for software installation
- VST version requires VST-compatible host software, such as Steinberg Cubase or Nuendo
- MAS version requires Mark Of The Unicorn MAS version 2.3 or higher, and Digital Performer or AudioDesk host software
- Audio Units version requires AU-compatible host application such as Emagic Logic Audio
- 1024 x 768 or higher resolution monitor
- An AGP graphics video adapter (PCI graphics is not recommended)
