The Digidesign® DV Toolkit™ 2 option for Pro Tools LE™ systems* provides a comprehensive collection of tools for producing high-end sound for film or video. DV Toolkit 2 includes essential post production plug-ins, up to 48 mono or stereo tracks at up to 96 kHz (interface permitting), plus specialized editing, automation, and session management features previously available only with Pro Tools|HD® systems.

Essential Post Production Plug-ins - DV Toolkit 2 includes powerful plug-ins that are ideal for working with sound for picture.

• TL Space Native Edition - The TL Space™ convolution reverb can instantly add realism to a film or video project by creating a full range of authentic acoustic environments through a comprehensive library of reverb and effect impulses and by offering the ability to add impulses easily.
• DINR LE - DINR™ LE, an AudioSuite™-only version of the original, award-winning DINR TDM plug-in, effectively reduces unwanted noise — from street sounds to air conditioner rumble — for cleaner audio. DINR analyzes and subtracts noise entirely within the digital realm for results that are virtually free of side effects.
• Synchro Arts VocALign Project for Pro Tools - VocALign Project for Pro Tools stretches or squeezes one audio signal to match the timing patterns of another, automatically, to help synchronize dialog to video, dub foreign language films, tighten Foley and sound effects tracks, fine-tune the timing of one music track to match another, or achieve a perfectly lip-synched performance for a music video.

DigiBase Pro — an advanced version of the DigiBase file management tool previously available only with Pro Tools|HD systems — allows customers to create and share custom catalogs for quick and easy access to sounds or files associated with a project. A valuable tool for working with the large number of files and volumes that can add up on film or video projects.

DigiTranslator 2.0 - DigiTranslator™ 2.0 makes the complex process of file interchange simple and dependable by seamlessly converting and exchanging OMF®, AAF, and MXF files between Pro Tools® systems and Avid® workstations — as well as other OMF 2.0–, AAF-, and MXF-capable audio and video applications.

Extended Pro Tools Functionality - DV Toolkit 2 adds key capabilities to Pro Tools LE software for working with sound for film or video. Many of the added features will already be familiar to post production pros, providing a seamless transition from Pro Tools|HD to Pro Tools LE systems.

System Requirements

• iLok USB Smart Key (sold separately), Internet access, and free ilok.com account for authorization
• Digidesign-qualified Windows XP– or Mac-based computer
• Pro Tools LE 7.1 or higher software
• If you do not already own Pro Tools LE 7.0, you will need to purchase an upgrade before installing DV Toolkit 2. DV Toolkit 2 includes an update from Pro Tools LE 7.0 to Pro Tools LE 7.1 software.
• The original DV Toolkit is not compatible with Pro Tools LE 7.1 or higher software. If you intend to use Pro Tools LE 7.1 or higher software with DV Toolkit, you will need to upgrade to DV Toolkit 2.
